Hey everyone, I’m Matt, the planting Pastor of Haverhill Commons Church. Originally from Missouri, in 2018, my wife Megan and I felt the call of the Holy Spirit to serve God in Haverhill. Now we’re Haverhill residents and a foster family. You can often catch us with our boys on area soccer or baseball fields.

As a former educator, I believe we learn best by doing. God calls us to participate, not watch from the sidelines. I want church to be an active learning environment, full of creativity and curiosity. I’m eager to listen well, try new things, collaborate across dividing lines, and empower others to take ownership of their faith.

I am honored to have earned my Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where I was awarded the Presidential Scholarship for future Christian Leaders. I currently serve on the Haverhill DCF Area Board, the Haverhill Youth Soccer Board, and founded Haverhill Book Buddies. I’ve been a youth pastor, a high school teacher, and a K-Life area director. I love Jesus, grace, C.S. Lewis, cats, good coffee, Broadway musicals, spicy food, and NBA basketball.
