Ash Wednesday

Every year, Ash Wednesday calls us back to the paths from which we have strayed, refocuses our attention on both the way and the goal of our journey through life. It is a reminder that we are human. A reminder that we have limits. A recognition of our need.

Ash Wednesday is an invitation to hear and respond to the Gospel again, to consider the words of Jesus: "The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

Together, we turn our eyes towards Jerusalem and diligently, deliberately, move to the Cross and onward through death to the Hope of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Kids Commons

Rather than offer a separate service for children on Ash Wednesday, we welcome children to join us the service in the sanctuary.

Mask Policy

We continue to monitor Essex County COVID transmission levels and the most recent CDC guidelines. At this time, we welcome those who are fully vaccinated and at low-risk to remove your mask with humility. When in conversational space with someone who is masked (or under 5 years old), we ask that you wear a mask as an expression of love and protection.
