Seeing and Being Seen (Ruth 2:14-23)

Have you ever felt like you were all out of hope? The plans you’d had, your dreams and desires, just hadn’t worked out and the road ahead was going endlessly uphill as far as you could see?

In the Book of Ruth, Naomi and Ruth are two women who have been walking a very, very uphill road. In our text this morning, though, we see small signs that might, just might, suggest that the road they are on might be beginning to level out.

Where do we find seeds of hope when our path feels like a long uphill slog, when things aren’t working out, when we feel obscured, neglected, unseen?
